Wind, Solar and Water?

A Wind Farm

With the price of oil, global warming and lack of food due to disasters and the expansion of corn being used as fuel, the world is quickly rushing to discover the future of energy. What will be the next big thing and why isn't the government or billion-backed oil companies working to unleash it when they can reap the rewards of a better product? We all know it goes back to the good ole fashioned dollar bill. The buck.

21: A card counting hell of a time!

The movie

There are so many new movies on the shelf with tons more hitting the stands every week. Movies aren't what they used to be, but the new movie 21, a story of intellect and gambling has what a lot of what movies lack - a good plot. There were no fancy graphics but the story made the movie.

You should vote no matter what!

This Country will never change, so long as we the people are set in our ways. Your absolutly right Scott & Its true, I'm a Christen because my parents are Christains & I'm a republican because my parents were republican, & we work for a living. I've always heard that demacrates barely worked at all, & expected hand outs. Is that how America seperates itself, left wing & right wing? We are perfectly content in our own little worlds, so long as nobody makes waves. And if & when some 1 f*cks wt us, we Unite and kick their ass, because after all, that is the American way. I think we need to stay united and revamp our whole out look on our situation. Let us all take a step back and look at the big picture. When I look at the president I see a puppet, & (W.Bush is a prime exaple) The strings that move the puppet, Congress. So, what makes the strings move, who is our puppet master? Have you heard the phrase "Those that have the money, makes the rules" Its time for a new revolution.

Scott if you do decide to vote choose the lesser of the to evils vote OBAMA. At least he has some form of intelligence and has a good vp pick unlike the george w bush clone mc cain whose vp pick is a complete dumbass Palin who couldnt even answer the question of what a vice presidents job is. For another thing shes one of those politicians who pretends to be like the average american but like all other politicians she was born with a silverspoon.

I would have to completely agree with you on this subject. Personally, I wish just one time in my life that a presidential candidate could come from a working class background that way at least id know that they knew something about the real world. Anymore, all politicians say is that they understand about working class families but they all are born with silverspoons so really they are just liars and deceivers and have absolutely no ideal what its like to have to struggle to make ends meet. Their ideal of a working class family is a family that makes 70 to 100 thousand dollars a year. Most people or families dont even make close to that anyways. I agree all politians are nothing more than f..king liars deceiving bullshiting theives who are born into wealth and are complete opposites from most Americans. And whats really f..ked up is alot of people in this country buy into their bullshit.

Keeping up with new software and technology

Personally I think technology is great but a lot of the stuff we see or use today is a little overboard. I see a lot of people buying things like cell phones that have so much stuff that theres no way a person could possibly have a need for other than just to say they have it. I also think a lot of technological stuff produced now is also alot of technological crap that people rely on too much. God forbid anything bad happens to the world because im pretty sure that those people who really rely on technology are in for a rude awakening!

Yeah I agree. Very different kind of movie. It had a lot of shocking moments like the people on the building, the old lady and the window. It is defenitly a movie to experience.

I think everything from this, highways, research and government in general needs to be totally rethought.

Myth: A Huge Chunk of My Tax Dollars Supports Welfare Recipients Fact: Welfare Costs 1 Percent of the Federal Budget Widespread misperception about the extent of welfare exacerbate the problems of poverty. The actual cost of welfare programs-about 1 percent of the federal budget and 2 percent of state budgets (McLaughlin, 1997)-is proportionally less than generally believed. http://www.apa.org/pi/wpo/myths.html Now, don't assume by this that I do not believe there is no abuse of the welfare system, I have seen the abuse myself. However, I also have known quite a few people that it has helped. So while I do think there is some major reform needed, I can't see abolishing the entire system, and no matter how much I would like to demand people stop reproducing if they can't afford the children, I don't think I would want to live in a Country that had that much control over my freedom (see China)

Thank you lurb you have some really great points there as you've wrote just as much as I did in one entry! I do not judge because I do not want to be judged, but people have an opportunity whether they see it or not. It is up to them to act upon it. I am not going to have a child because I don't want my child to grow up in a world like this... a world that spits in their face... a world they can't get a loan for a house... I did it. I know it is hard. It is very hard. But now that I'm out of that life, I don't want to go back... I'm never going back as long as I can help it. So why would I want a kid to experience the same things? Children become adults and evil is the problem. They will steal from me because I have something that I've worked for. The bible tells us that a lazy hand will go hungry.

scott on this issue i know there are some people who abuse the welfare system but there are alot who dont as you grew up if that system wasnt there who knows what would have happened to you and your family. You have to admit you were very lucky to be where you are today you at least had a mother and father who loved and cared for you and that taught you right from wrong a lot of people who are on welfare never had any one or anything to fall back on life is hard sometimes and who are we as human beings to really judge anyone .also you say look at what those people on welfare are doing to the economy well look at what are government financial institutions have done to the economy know because of the government we will be paying that 700000000000 billion bailout plan with our hard earned money causing even more people to be on welfare
