What will be the next big thing and why isn't the government or billion-backed oil companies working to unleash it when they can reap the rewards of a better product? We need to rethink research foundations

Finding the right research foundation can be difficult, but who knows what is done with the funds donated? Is money being wasted on a finding cure for cancer or the solution to our energy crisis? Due to the many research organizations and the investment spread thin throughout them, we might be losing that battle.
