What a complete mess!
If I could merge all the categories of my blog into one, now would probably be a good time. Design, politics and religion are all coming together and plain truth is right in front of my face - should be yours too. If not, take a good hard look at the news.
Foreclosures are up, unemployment is sky rocketing, no individual is receiving money and what is the outcome? No one is buying anything! Now, the government is trying to jumpstart the economy with $819 billion. That reminds me of that Austin Powers when Dr. Evil said "1 Trillion Dollars! hemhmhm". You can spend all the money in the world, but you can't fix stupid.
America has been shown to house the worst roads, education, electrical grid and the list goes on and on! Where has our money been going all these years? Oh, I know - the military and other useless services. Sure we might need security, but because of our own ignorance and refusal to let go of our own weapons. I have a whole blog I will dedicate to this issue but on to the chart.
I found this chart just by typing in "Government Spending" and it showed up on Wikipedia. Our money is spent on the people who decide how to blow our money! Where is the money for energy, transportation, labor and education? What about agriculture or housing development? I understand that this is from years previous but what is this stimulus going to do when things are already so bad? Sure money will help create jobs but who will buy from the companies that hire them? If there is no money, there is simply no money! If we could distribute the funds or do away with completely the defense, human services and treasury, we could all be guaranteed social security, good roads, clean energy and so much more we cannot fathom. It reminds me of most companies... you know there are only a select few that actually do all the work while the rest simply draw a paycheck and waste important company resources?
People need to wake up and see that we are being taken advantage of. Government = slavery. The banking bailouts should smack everyone in the face - we are giving them our money to loan it back to us with terms! What kind of world do we live in? Is America the geatest country in the world? If I don't support my troops, people ridicule me yet I didn't ask for us to go to war. I don't ask our government to poke their nose in other peoples business.

$819 Billion? A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, let me put that figure into perspective.
1. A billion seconds ago it was 1959.
2. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive.
3. A billion hours ago our ancestors were
living in the Stone Age.
4. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet.
5. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it.
Where does the money come from? Thats right, we the people!
1) The Government makes the money.
2) We are slaves to the money.
3) Then we die.
We are born free, then taxed to death! 35% of my pay check is stripped away before I even see it because of taxes. And then I have to pay taxes on everything I buy.
