You should vote no matter what!

Vote for someone at least dumb ass!

Voting is a big deal this year. I've heard that this is going to be the biggest turnout in voting history. I just ran across a blog and have been hearing a lot of buzz about how so many voters are undecided this close to election day and how they are a problem. Not only have I read quite a bit about it, but I also got into a debate with a young lady a week ago on this exact same subject.

Personally, I don't like either candidate. Is it because of race? No. Is it because of party? No.

So then why don't I want John McCain or Barack Obama as president of the United States? They both claim that they are going to make a change, but all I see is same old, same old. No sign whatsoever that these two have what it takes to change the most powerful country in the world. Honestly, I am afraid of what will happen when one of these makes it into office. Do you want a leader that bickers and bitches instead moving forward? A leader that will do anything just to get your vote? Do you want someone who lies to the faces of the American people like good ole Gorge W.? Don't you realize they are just buying their way to the White House and ultimately buying you off?

This presidential election is nothing more than a popularity contest - spend a much as possible to win the country over. After all, isn't that what this country is based on? How much money you make or what kind of car you have sitting in your garage at home? Social status is evil and the world is it's judge. You vote for republicans because your parents did. You vote democrat because you think that because you are poor, the government is going to help you out.

It is traditional politics at its best.

I have something to say to all those idiots in the press and those around the world who are telling me I should vote even though there isn't anyone worth voting for:

You are the problem. Your vote is based solely upon race, political party (because you are rich or poor), or beliefs that you hold as an individual instead of ideas that are best for the entire country. Why should I vote for someone or something I don't think is right? What is the reason behind that?

When there is someone in there I think is worth voting for, then I'll vote.

I'll vote for whoever I want and if I don't want to vote for your candidate of choice, deal with it. There isn't anything you can say that the candidates haven't alread said - I've heard it all. What are you going to do to change my mind? If I don't like them, I don't like them.

Voting just because just doesn't make sense to me.

What about the rest of you?

I would have to completely agree with you on this subject. Personally, I wish just one time in my life that a presidential candidate could come from a working class background that way at least id know that they knew something about the real world. Anymore, all politicians say is that they understand about working class families but they all are born with silverspoons so really they are just liars and deceivers and have absolutely no ideal what its like to have to struggle to make ends meet. Their ideal of a working class family is a family that makes 70 to 100 thousand dollars a year. Most people or families dont even make close to that anyways. I agree all politians are nothing more than f..king liars deceiving bullshiting theives who are born into wealth and are complete opposites from most Americans. And whats really f..ked up is alot of people in this country buy into their bullshit.

Scott if you do decide to vote choose the lesser of the to evils vote OBAMA. At least he has some form of intelligence and has a good vp pick unlike the george w bush clone mc cain whose vp pick is a complete dumbass Palin who couldnt even answer the question of what a vice presidents job is. For another thing shes one of those politicians who pretends to be like the average american but like all other politicians she was born with a silverspoon.

This Country will never change, so long as we the people are set in our ways. Your absolutly right Scott & Its true, I'm a Christen because my parents are Christains & I'm a republican because my parents were republican, & we work for a living. I've always heard that demacrates barely worked at all, & expected hand outs. Is that how America seperates itself, left wing & right wing? We are perfectly content in our own little worlds, so long as nobody makes waves. And if & when some 1 f*cks wt us, we Unite and kick their ass, because after all, that is the American way. I think we need to stay united and revamp our whole out look on our situation. Let us all take a step back and look at the big picture. When I look at the president I see a puppet, & (W.Bush is a prime exaple) The strings that move the puppet, Congress. So, what makes the strings move, who is our puppet master? Have you heard the phrase "Those that have the money, makes the rules" Its time for a new revolution.

I sense anger amongst the readers. It seems though, that based on the "silver spoon" analogies, Obama would have to be the one they would vote for. But then, the one with the money WAS Obama! All told, including soft money and preferential treatment by the media, Obama brought in about a trillion dollars! Joe Biden as VP, though, is about as priviledged as it gets! On the other hand, I fail to see how Sara Palin was considered "priviledged" by any of the opposition. Most of them bad-mouthed her for her "common" upbringing. Senator McCain was a military "brat" for sure, and could have been an admiral. But he got a real dose of reality in Viet Nam! So he chose politics. Less than stellar in character, he divorced, remarrying into a LOT of money. But that money could not match Obama's awesome money machine. None of this, though, seemed to matter in the primaries, did it? Much better candidates were there. But politics are politics!
