Individuality is what separates us
Ever heard the phrase, "It's a small world?" This is undoubtedly true, if you live in one. As some look only to the things around them in their own life, others look to what is beyond. In all actuality, the world is quite a big place. If you look outside your own interests, you will find issues, too many to count, created and powered by people like you and I. With that said, there is a lot to consume our time and energy, but is it just creating more separation?
You care about education issues and smoking ads geared towards your children because you have children. I care about the success of the country as a whole because I understand it affects my life and I, it. Others protest war, big government, abortion, same sex marriage, while some silently back research foundations or give to their local church. What is important to you is not necessarily the same to someone else.
This leads me to the question at hand; Are our hands in too many cookie jars at once? If we are required to share the earth with one another, can we continue, each of us on our own way?
There are organizations for everything. There are associations, clubs, alliances, industries, groups, unions, institutions, foundations, corporations, assemblies, churches, governments, affiliations; some public and some private, all separate and competing against one another for practically the same outcome.
We share this life with one another. All live with the consequences, whether good or bad. If we solve one problem, we will solve them all. Instead of fighting for what you love as an indvidual, start developing a love for all. If you continue the fight, you are only fighting yourself. What is there to win if everyone else loses?
We really do care for each other but in our own way. The first step in solving the world's problems is to lose this individual love and open ourselves up to loving all things, those important to you and those important to others. In the end, you will find that what is important to others, really is important to you. We should not push one another away with our own way of life. It is our differences that separate us, but the truth is, we are connected in more ways you can imagine.
United we stand, divided we fall. We are one, so we should have one purpose: remaining one. Separation is the end.
