Think outside the bible
Revelation 22:18-19 says "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book."
Now for anyone who has read the bible or has heard of the great flood, we know that the plagues described in the bible and loss of eternal life are beyond comprehension. While some people have sought after the truth, others will never understand the importance of these passages. Lies, war, murder, etc have caused these passages to become reality. I will explain.
I am not a prophet, a priest, a ministor, pastor or of this sort. I have however, searched out these things all the days of my life and will continue for those that remain. I write about religion and how it relates to life and I may become over imaginative at times, but I will not deceive my readers in any way. On the other hand, there are some who live their life for it. They will not stop until they fill your head with words that cannot help you nor give you rest. They speak words of iniquity and conspire to create evil by twisting the word of God so that the majority of men cannot understand it. Since the bible is such a mystery in it's message, one must question the authenticity and reliability of the source from which these writings arrived.
After some research, I recently discovered that the dead sea scrolls were discovered in eleven caves between 1947 and 1979. Since I was born in 1980 and that I've spent my life reading and living the bible, I became troubled at heart upon discovering this newly found bit of information. Ok. So I am still baffled about my discovery and the fact it was listed for sale in the Wall Street Journal in 1954 for $250,000 in which the government received a majority due to taxes. God's word sold for money?
To place the cherry on top and complete this outrage, know that some books were left out. Who is to say what is from God? Why should certain men decide what should or shouldn't be included in the bible. My opinion is that if the bible contains a warning about altering the message in any way, it was enivetable.
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." Matthew 7:13-14
"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Luke 11:19
The mysteries of God are not to be revealed to everyone until the time appointed. If everyone knew the way to life, sin would not exist. There would be no difference between light and darkness or good and bad. In order to find what we seek, we must question all material and open our minds to others. No one said it would be easy I guess, but you will find it as it has been revealed in time to me.
I believe that a person can only be righteous if they know, understand and live their religion based on humane principals. No one can be close to God unless they search their true feelings and go beyond what men have created. Missing scriptures of great importance are being found more rapidly. This testifies that God is being revealed quickly as promised. Do some research on lost books of the bible and you will be amazed at the restults that will be returned.
Keep an eye out, search within yourself for the truth and find what you are looking for.

The word of God was NOT what was found in those caves. Much of the Old Testament was there, and scraps of some writings that MAY have been from the New Testament have been contested. But the "missing books" among them were of little use to God's people in the first century AD. Those who hid the scrolls in the course of about a hundred years were not Christians, though some may have been observant Jews (they were of a "Puritan" brand of Judaism).
The other "lost books" touted by many were considered, and rejected, by the extended membership (as represented by the leadership) over a period of about 150 years (AD 35 - 190, dates may vary), using some tough criteria. The 27 books of the New Testament are the only ones that passed. How can we "trust" these early Christians to be guardians of God's Word? Two Words - Holy Spirit. The promised Comforter dwells not in single individuals but in the "body of Christ." In this way, God is continually with His True people, called his "temple." The only books that passed the test were those that had been received by "all Christians" at "all times." The reason that worked is because God was in the details! He spoke in these words and these alone.
We do not have "God in a box" as some pagans thought of the Jews. But God has chosen to reveal Himself in two ways alone - In His Son, the incarnate Word, and in His book, the Bible as we know it today. Having God with us in the person of the Holy Spirit, we have the continuing presence of Christ. But if we want a reliable "word" from God, we must trust that that which passed the test - the Bible - is all we need.
