Free has a price

Paid vs Free

As prices for the products and services we buy continue to increase, people are finding themselves struggling more and more. When the cost of living rises, people demand more. As hard as it is to say, clearly, the economy, despite our new government's efforts, is headed for a total collapse if this trend continues.

Competition is a two edged sword.

On one hand, competition allows us to grow - without it, we would stand still. The innovations the world has grown accustomed to would not exist today if we weren't pushed into them. The plus side to competition is the fact that companies are continually trying to win the pricing war. Therefore, the customer is the one who benefits from the passing on of lower prices. Life is good when prices remain low.

On the other hand, everyone wants something for nothing, but they aren't willing to work for nothing. Sure, free is good, but who will work only to not get paid for it? The web is setting the "free" standard. No one wants to pay for anything anymore. As bad as people claim money is, it is something we need. The idea behind it isn't evil in any way - it is what we do with it that is. People have misused it in a way that has left them for broke and that means less currency in circulation.

Last but not least, competition simply leaves people behind. When companies focus all their time resources on failing markets, revenue decreases and employees do not get paid. Some are let go completely. At the same time, there are certain people who buy items that change frequently and are unable to keep up with the times.

My reason for writing this entry? Perhaps it is to state plain facts. Maybe it is time for the world to give more thought to what really matters instead of what's on the television or what their neighbor is up to. Life is a very serious thing. Time is money and money is becoming hard to come by. Instead of worrying about making money, we should be focused on making money work for us.

Everything has two sides.

I work every day as a caregiver for others. I do not earn one dime for doing so. Inside, I feel good just being able to help. Just simple things. Just to make sure no one hurts the people I love and care for. I do not have the money a lot of the time just to copy papers, or run the people I love to the Doctor, but somehow, I manage to continue to do so. I will help and donate my time for free as long as there is a breath in my body. The money comes from somewhere somehow! I am managing to do these things. No one understands why I even care. Well, I myself will be old someday. I just wish someone loved me enough to do the same for me...... Just wanted to let you know there are those that work many long hours, and collect no pay at all, even though they themselves do not have the money to do it!!!!!!
