Hell in the Midst of Heaven

Heaven or hell on earth

Some people say I talk about the government way too much. Who else takes the time out of their life to give it any thought? Religion and politics are the two most imporant things in the world, yet they are the least discussed. How long will people continue to allow others to create their world for them?

Why not plant a fruit tree?

The Tree of Life

The world is changing, we know that. The earth is evolving because of us, we know that. Truth is not right or wrong, but it is observation of that which is going on all around us. The only way to ulimate peace and prosperity begins with something so simple, you'll wonder why you've never thought of it.

What is your purpose in life?

In thought about the meaning of life

Life is a funny thing. One day it's up, the next it's down. It's one hellacious rollercoaster ride. Although we experience the problems we do on a day to day basis, there is something even more important than worldy affairs, something so life changing that many have yet to come to understand - you and your purpose. Do you know what yours is?

Government: The next form of evolution?

Let's get ready to rumble!

With the increase in user interest in politics, social media is making itself known big time. Now that everyone can talk about whatever they want and be heard, where is it getting us? Can too much discussion be bad for the future of the world? Due to the fact that the majority of people are one sided with self interest a main priority, there is a good possibility things can get worse before they get better.

Marketplace Innovation - That's Strategious!

Get a Quote. That's Strategious!

Even though my company is related to the design and marketing industries, I find it funny that I don't spend much time blogging about it. When I finally do, it is to promote my own product! Anyway, this entry is history in the making because we finally found the nerve to launch our newest baby, a place where people can get a quote for products and services and companies can find new customers. Strategious is marketplace innovation.

Globalization: The beginning of the end

Globalization on Earth

The bible says many things. It tells us how we are to live our lives, it gives us hope for life after death and the peace of knowing things will be ok for those who believe. Another thing the bible does is tell us, through God's people over time, what is going to happen in the future. Events are taking place that verify the accuracy of the words written. Is this the beginning of the end?

People: They're magically suspicious!

The First Sin

What we don't know really does hurt us. It is what makes us vulnerable and open for attack. It sounds a lot like a war story, but it is really just a metaphor for the differences in human beings and the reason for all the problems we have created and now must deal with. The changes we have been making lately aren't much of a change - we just change how we present the message of change.

Talking about it doesn't fix a thing

Angry Americans

Now that everyone is beginning to see the changes take place in the world, some are beginning to stand up. People are finding ways to complain about how bad it is but fail to take action. How do we fix the current problems our world faces? We surely can't do it by talking about it!

The world and you

The world at a distance

A lot is happening in the world today. We are experiencing history in the making. What is it that is going on and who is in charge? People are discussing all the problems while others are claiming to have all the answers. When, if ever, will change come?

Today I think I know what is right for you, maybe

The Yin Yang of the human mind

Everyday I hear something new that I didn't hear before. Everywhere I turn, there is someone telling me what they think, how I should live, what I should focus my time on. After all this time, I've learned a few things about people, why they get sick and eventually die. Do problems just seem to happen for no reason or can there be a good story behind it? Let's see shall we?

My wish

If I had an unlimited amount of wishes, here would be my first six. Let's just pretend I rubbed my magic lamp and what we want will come true. What is most important and what could help turn this ball of people around? We need a brighter future and now is the only time we can do it.

What a complete mess!

The government always wants money!

It's been a while since I wrote my last blog and boy has it been too long! There is a lot of stuff going on that needs to be discussed but it seems as though no one wants to dedicate any time to helping extend the lifestyle of comfort each and every one of us are privileged to.

A new year for a new world

It's a new year! 2009 to be exact!

Well now that 2008 and the mess that came with it is in the history books, it is time to look ahead at where 2009 will take us. I'm sure it will amaze me more than any other year before it.

Job losses are hitting closer to home

Unemployment chart from 1989 to 2008

With the economy the worst it has been in sixty years, a lot of cold hard facts are hitting Americans right in the face. Although we hear about the millions of jobs lost this year on the news, we never really understand the reality of it until it happens to yourself or someone you know.

I am Scott's lonely guitar sitting all alone

It's been a while!

I think it's been around a year or more since I last picked up my old Washburn and strummed a song or two. Well, I found it down in the basement, dusted it off real good, wiped it down with the good stuff, put a fresh set of strings on it and started jammin! I almost forgot how good it felt to let it go and play.

You should vote no matter what!

Vote for someone at least dumb ass!

With the election day around the corner and a large number of voters still undecided, people are getting on those who haven't made up their mind. I've made up my mind that I'm not voting for either candidate. So for those of you who think I should vote just for voting's sake, read on and learn something!

Keeping up with new software and technology

What does this button do?

With a world going totally web based in everything we do, it is my responsibility to keep up with the times and determine what's hot and what's not. In order to stay ahead in the Internet, we have to constantly monitor current trends as well as what the future may hold. Some may find it difficult to stay up to date with all the web has to offer.

Sometimes the new ways of doing things, are not a good thing. Everyone forgets about the old ways. I think the old ways should never be forgotten. It is our jobs as parents, or grandparents, to teach our children all the old ways ... This is the way the earth is intended to be ... everyone has forgotten to look through the eyes of a child. Just show them ... teach them ... Love them ...

What a complete mess!

$819 Billion? A billion is a difficult number to comprehend, let me put that figure into perspective. 1. A billion seconds ago it was 1959. 2. A billion minutes ago Jesus was alive. 3. A billion hours ago our ancestors were living in the Stone Age. 4. A billion days ago no-one walked on the earth on two feet. 5. A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate our government is spending it. Where does the money come from? Thats right, we the people! 1) The Government makes the money. 2) We are slaves to the money. 3) Then we die. We are born free, then taxed to death! 35% of my pay check is stripped away before I even see it because of taxes. And then I have to pay taxes on everything I buy. Look at all of these taxes... Accounts Receivable Tax Building Permit Tax CDL License Tax Cigarette Tax Corporate Income Tax Dog License Tax Federal Income Tax Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) Fishing License Tax Food License Tax Fuel Permit Tax Gasoline Tax Hunting License Tax Inheritance Tax Inventory Tax IRS Interest Charges (tax on top of tax) IRS Penalties (tax on top of tax) Liquor Tax Luxury Tax Marriage License Tax Medicare Tax Property Tax Real Estate Tax Service charge taxes Social Security Tax Road Usage Tax (Truckers) Sales Taxes Recreational Vehicle Tax School Tax State Income Tax State Unemployment Tax (SUTA) Telephone Federal Excise Tax Telephone Federal Universal Service Fee Tax Telephone Federal, State and Local Surcharge Tax Telephone Minimum Usage Surcharge Tax Telephone Recurring and Non-recurring Charges Tax Telephone State and Local Tax Telephone Usage Charge Tax Utility Tax Vehicle License Registration Tax Vehicle Sales Tax Watercraft Registration Tax Well Permit Tax Workers Compensation Tax Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago... and our nation was the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt... We had the largest middle class in the world... and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What happened? Can you spell politicians!

Yes, I agree... I have known Scott for like 8 years now and he has slowly moved from being a staunch Democrat to a hardcore government hating Anarchist... errr I mean Fiscal Conservative :-) Looking back at the election I don't think anyone in their right mind was going to put old McCain in charge, especially considering who he selected as VP. Obama is the right guy for the current mess we are in. Even hardcore southern republicans should be commending the way he is seeking out solutions from both parties.

A new year for a new world

I started reading this book a acouple days ago and it is kinda shocking how far from the christian bible many of his chapters stray. An interesting read none the less.

I came upon that book back in 2006, I think, 2007. The writer claims to be one of the two witnesses. He also claims that the "true church" was/is the "Worldwide Church of God" (founded by Herbert W. Armstrong). As wild as some of his teachings were, he did raise our consciousness to the end times. However, the "prophet" who wrote this book goes far to the extreme. Armstrong held tenaciously to the trinity, a doctrine this writer denies. He builds, instead, a doctrine of a "godhood" he calls Elohim. All true believers, he said, will join this Elohim, of whom Jesus was the first. Armstrong's son, Garner Ted, eventually agreed that the rest of Christianity was largely OK, but this writer, Ronald Weinland, holds that to have been the great apostasy (First seal, 1994). The true church to him is dwindling to the remnant that will fulfill the 144,000 true believers of all history. If you believe anything different about God than what his "prophecy" has revealed, then you are wrong (p.143)! As it turns out, 2008 WAS a bad year. And it MAY be a warning. But that is as far as I will go in following Mr. Weinland's predictions.

Free healthcare, rent and food stamps... oh my!

Scott, the welfare system was implemented by LBJ in the 60's through the Great Society as a form of reperations. Later on it was modified multiple times due to constant abuse and here we are now with ILLEGAL ALIENS and people like Heather, Steph knows whom I'm talking about, that bleed the taxpayer of as much as they can get. She now is getting taxpayer funded college, how the fu@k is that possible? Until the Liberals get their collective heads out of the sand and make major reforms then the system will continue to reward these lazy, manipulative dead beats until we are all broke. Sure, people need help, but for how long? Kill 2 birds at once, send the ILLEGALS back home and put the people on welfare into those jobs and then we fix 2 major problems at once. See ya!

I think that John Heder needs to learn about diversity in acting as all the roles he plays dont change the way he acts. Overall though I did enjoy this movie.
